Stanislaw Panczakiewicz
Chorzów 1946

Stanislaw Panczakiewicz studied interior design at the Academy of Technology and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw from 1972 to 1977. His works were shown in exhibitions in Warsaw and Krakow, as well as in Hamburg and Paris. He has also always been interested in producing short films. At present he lives in Hamburg.

The gradations of all shades of gray create the same diversity as that of the artistic paintbox. Everything interesting can be found between lines and dots. He has also painted large-format pictures with this technique. Panczakiewicz works spontaneously according to his mood or feelings - very often resulting from musical impressions, which consciously or unconsciously also flow into his paintings. His goal is not to reproduce reality, but to make feelings visible.

This work comes out of a special edition "Artist of the world” from Meissner Edition, Hamburg created for the German Lufthansa Airline in year 1985 and their first class passengers. Furthemore the enclosed offset lithograph bears no title. This is because Panczakiewicz wanted to give the viewer all the "freedom of imagination".
