What makes the design of this IWC so different is the stick-shaped indexes with black-coated, faceted markers combined with black-coated sword hands. This combination is primarily intended to improve readability. The contrast between silver (reflection) and black (absorption) ensures that the watch is easily recognizable in various lighting conditions.
This unusual version of an IWC, offered exclusively in Japan, combines the classic design of the 1960s within an extra-solid and large dresswatch case. The timemachine comes with the original vintage strap from Accurate Form Japan in great shape.
Moreover, this masterpiece is still 100% in its original IWC factory condition, featuring its original IWC fish-crown, a distinctive dresswatch case that has never been polished, and a very beautiful patina on the cream-colored dial.

Pellaton automatic | The world-famous design of Albert Pellaton's automatic winding mechanism with an eccentric and two large pawls represents a special technical feature. IWC used this automatic in its "Caliber 85" series. Movements of the watch's wearer cause the semicircular rotor to rotate, moving a rocker constructed with two ruby rollers and two large pawls. By moving the rocker, the two pawls wind the gear train connected to the spring core.
Good to know: The date of this caliber 8541 has a quick-set function by moving the time between 23:45 and 24:00.
