Karel Novosad

Karel Novosad studied at the Art and Graphics School in Prague and from 1968-1974 at the “Hochschule für bildende Kunst in Hamburg” with Prof. Almir Mavignier. Before 1968 he created objects and large-format material paintings. This was followed by an intensive occupation with constructive painting for a long time. Karel Novosad has had numerous national and international exhibitions for example: Hamburger Kunsthalle with Jankowski and Saini, Gallery Teufel in Koblenz & Cologne, Leopold-Hoesch Museum in Düren, Studio Gemini, Wilbrand Gallery in Cologne, Schnabel Gallery in Hamburg, “Hamburg-Speicherstadt” and still in the Meridian Gallery in Hamburg. His first exhibition was in the "Young Gallery" in Prague in 1967.
