Made by Patek Philippe in 1943, this solid 18-karat red gold oversized jumbo wristwatch shows all its original parts in superb condition - such as the dial with raised red gold indices and 1/5 seconds track, red gold hands and even the red gold pin buckle looks like as it did at the original time of delivery.
This beauty underwent a complete overhaul at the Patek Phillipe Vintage Atelier in Geneva in year 2020 and received the "Extract from the Archives" containing all the reference data of this masterpiece, which identifies this timepiece as a Patek Reference 1526, with a Caliber 12-120 SC movement.
However, it becomes clear at first glance that this model is not a calendar wristwatch with moon-phase like the Reference 1526, but rather is more similar to the extremely rare Reference 1536.
We have carried out extensive research, also in collaboration with Patek Philippe, and are very grateful for the generous support of Patek in Geneva for the expertise on this extremely rare example. Therefore we handed over this timemachine to the Patek Manufacture on more time in year 2024, where it was examined by Patek experts, master watchmakers and jewelers as part of a more extensive service by involving also their workshops, archives, technical support, and so on..
The result is that this model is believed to be a Reference 1536, but with unique lugs - its elegant turned lugs differ significantly from the drop lugs of the reference 1536 and are more similar to the lugs of the reference 1526.
A very few examples of ref. 1526 show similar elegant turned lugs. It is important to know that only 210 examples of this legendary Patek Reference were produced in total between the years 1941 and 1952. Most of them were made of yellow gold - so the number of examples in red gold can be counted on your hands. The examples in red gold of the ref. 1536 are even rarer. And we are dealing here with a example of a Patek Reference 1536 that is one-of-a-kind in its shape:

We deliver this unique Patek Philippe to you originally sealed in the Patek security foil, additionally packed in the Patek service box, which is still in its original condition with the fully preserved Patek security label.
