The Daytona models with reference numbers 6263 and 6265, which were manufactured in steel from 1971 to 1987, were available in a variety of versions. The one most sought after by collectors is the so-called “Big Red,” featuring the bold red Daytona lettering. And among these, there exist a very exclusive series of dials where the lettering is positioned slightly higher rather than on the totalizer - the “Floating Big Red” dial, that’s super desired by Rolex vintage lovers. Here it is shown in its most beautiful version, matte black and extremely well-preserved original vintage collector’s condition.
